It takes a crane to build a crane

It takes two floors to make a story

It takes an egg to make a hen

It takes a hen to make an egg

There is no end to what I’m saying

It takes a thought to make a word

And it takes some words to make an action

And it takes some work to make it work

It takes some good to make it hurt

It takes some bad for satisfaction

Life is wonderful

Life goes full circle

Life is wonderful

It takes a night to make it dawn

And it takes a day to make you yawn, brother

It takes some old to make you young

It takes some cold to know the sun

It takes the one to have the other

And it takes no time to fall in love

But it takes you years to know what love is

And it takes some fears to make you trust

It takes those tears to make you rust

It takes the dust to have it polished

Life is wonderful

Life goes full circle

Life is wonderful

It takes some silence to make sound

It’ll take some loss before you’ve found it

It takes a road to go nowhere

It takes a toll to make you care

It takes a hole to make a mountain

Life is wonderful

Life goes full circle

Life is wonderful

Life is meaningful

Life is wonderful

Haven't updated in a while, sorry.

I've been home for 13 days and it just seems surreal that it ended like that. In the blink of an eye. I'm sure thats how this summer is going to go too. Yikes. Is there a slow motion button? Or a pause? Rewind?

Still some stuff that needs to be put away. Working on it slowly. Went to ISU last weekend. That was fun. Great to see all the people that i have missed for the last four months. It did hit me though that Normal is nothing, and i mean NOTHING like Europe. Of course that is to be expected. I will get over it. It will take time. I'm working on it.

Speaking of working, I've been home for 13 days and have worked for 6 of them. It feels good to be back at work, i missed that alot too. I'm sure i will get tired of it at some point, but it happens all the time. I still enjoy what i do. There is enough variety there to keep it interesting. And i enjoy the people i work with, well the ones i know anyways. That is the hard thing about going away to school and returning to a summer/winter job: most of the high school kids quit and then new ones come in. There is still a group that stays pretty constant, which is all that matters. And most of the new people like me after one shift anyways. What can i say? I'm just a nice guy.

I realized how much i missed my friends on Friday night. I got off work at 6 and wanted to go see a movie with one or two, but they were all one of these places: at school, unpacking from school, just live too far away, or out of town. I have no problem going to movies by myself, or doing anything by myself for that matter, but it was just a little sad that when i want to see these people so much after being away, i couldnt. I dont know why i am making that story seem like a life and death situation, but it just struck me in a certain way, thats all.

Today is Julie Renda's graduation party. It's kind of surreal that she is done with school and moving onto a career already (she's teaching at Keller J.H. in the fall). That means that my time, as a "kid", is running short. It felt like just a year or two ago Julie was my section leader for h.s. marching band and now we're here. Wow.

Megan and I are going shopping at Staples today for Julie's gift(s). Should be fun. And we're getting drunk at her party tonight. Can't wait.

Star Wars this week... This is one of the reasons that i love/hate my job. I find it fun to work these big openings to an extent, because you are so busy the whole time that the time flies and you are always on your toes. Plus, its fun to see all the weirdos in their costumes. Heh.

Oh goodness. Well, im gonna go try and get myself ready for the day. Take care.

Pause.

Rewind.

Slow Motion.

I'm home. It's nice. It's sad. It's bittersweet.

It's also about 8am on Tuesday and i'm up. What the hell? Oh, yeah, my body says its 2pm. Right! I actually spelt well and am glad that my body says this because i was up at about 6:45am today. Started laundry. Gonna be bumming around here and running errands today.

Give my mobile a call if you want to talk to me. It's the same one that i've had for 2 years, so if you dont have the number then fuck you.

bye!

(I'm really watching the 3rd season that my mom taped for me while i was gone.)
